Panthers Close Out 2024 Draft Class with Another Linebacker Pick
2024 NFL Draft
April 27, 2024
The Carolina Panthers have selected linebacker Justin Strnad with the 188th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Strnad, a four-year starter at Wake Forest, is the second linebacker the Panthers have drafted this year, joining Clemson's Trenton Simpson, who was selected in the first round.
Strnad is a physical and instinctive player, known for his ability to diagnose plays and make tackles in space. He led the Demon Deacons in tackles in each of his last three seasons and was named to the All-ACC second team in 2022 and 2023.
The Panthers' selection of Strnad fills a need at linebacker, where they have been looking to add depth and athleticism. Strnad is expected to compete for a starting role immediately, alongside Simpson and Frankie Luvu.
