Manchester United will play in the UEFA Europa League this season after finishing sixth in the Premier League last season. It will be the first time that the club has played in the competition since 2016/17.
United will be seeded in the group stage of the competition and will find out their opponents when the draw is made on Monday 7 November.
"We are looking forward to the challenge of playing in the Europa League," said United manager Erik ten Hag. "It is a good competition and we will be aiming to win it.
"We have a strong squad and we are confident that we can compete with the best teams in Europe." Manchester United have a rich history in European competition, having won the European Cup three times. The club will be hoping to add to their trophy haul this season.
United's first match in the Europa League will be on Thursday 8 September. The club will be hoping to make a good start to the competition and qualify for the knockout stages.
