Miami Dolphins Hit by Injuries: Ezukanma and McMorris Ruled Out

Rookie Safety McMorris in Boot

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel announced Friday that wide receiver Erik Ezukanma and rookie safety Patrick McMorris will miss Sunday's game against the New York Jets due to injuries.

McMorris, who has been dealing with a foot injury, was seen wearing a boot at practice. Ezukanma is reportedly battling a hamstring issue.

Dolphins' Injury Woes Continue

The injuries to Ezukanma and McMorris add to the Dolphins' growing list of sidelined players. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is still in concussion protocol, and defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah is out with a back injury.

The Dolphins will need to find a way to overcome these injuries if they want to stay competitive in the AFC East.

McMorris's Rookie Season

McMorris has been a bright spot for the Dolphins in his rookie season. He has started all three games and has recorded 16 tackles and one interception.

His absence will be a big blow to the Dolphins' defense.

Dolphins' Depth Tested

With McMorris out, the Dolphins will have to rely on their depth in the secondary. Safety Clayton Fejedelem is expected to start in McMorris's place.

The Dolphins will also need to find a way to replace Ezukanma's production in the passing game.

McDaniel on McMorris's Injury

"It's a tough break for Patrick," McDaniel said. "He's been playing really well for us, and we're going to miss him out there."

"But we have a lot of confidence in our depth, and we're going to find a way to get the job done."
